It’s just an anecdote I don’t think we can conclude much from that.

Louis Zamperino was a Olympic distance runner, survived his bomber plane being shot down in the Pacific, 47 days adrift at sea on a life raft, then torture in four different Japanese POW camps and the resulting PTSD from all of that, living to the ripe old age of 97: Louis Zamperini - Wikipedia

The film from 2014 is probably quite motivating for us visual couch potatoes with the best cinematography in the industry. I think his excellent conditioning probably helped with some of that.

Truly inspirational to say the least!
His will to fight and survive, forced into prolonged fasting + hormetic stress coupled with forced physical labor at POW camps and above all he was most likely was an eternal optimist; not the kind of guy who would give-up.
Also, some genetics might have played a minor role.
Its very difficult to be a reductionist and isolate one contributing factor in these exemplary stories!

Hambrick achieved his goal of lifting 335 pounds for the world record and his personal goal of 350-pound lifts.

Can you do this?

That’s a great accomplishment, however I wonder if he is “natty” or not (“natural”, i.e. not enhanced with steroids, SARMs, TRT, GH, myostatin-inhibitors, etc.) Even if he isn’t, it’s still impressive.

I guess we’ll have to wait for Greg Douchette to make a video about him…

I’ve been on TRT for 6 years… rapamycin 5 years in August… HGH 5 months. I agree with all that he’s doing.

Feeling great… strong and my body is acting decades younger.

I think you looked great last year (when you shared your pics) but now you seem like you went fully on “beast” mode :joy::joy:. Amazing results bud. Would you say HGH made a difference as I thought on your last pic you shared you looked way better than previous pics.

Hahaha - Thanks!

I am definitely enjoying the slowing down of age (maybe even a fair bit of reversal) thanks to TRT, rapamycin and now HGH!

Yes, with HGH the past 5 months – I have put on a bit more solid/thick muscle. I initially gained about 18 pounds taking me from 183 pounds to 201 pounds for the first time in my life (got to be a BIG MUSCLE BOY). A lot of the gain was water retention as my body adjusted. My chest really filled out - the valley between by pecs more fleshy, arms swole and knocked off even more visceral fat on the belly (rocking abs) and the mon pubis has flattened completely like a college kid (that fatty tissue gone). Turkey neck reduced a lot … arms no crepey skin. I have come down to a new normal weight of about 191 - 192 past month. Gym work outs are a breeze - I am tempted to go up 5 pounds on all my machines in a few weeks - do a few more pull ups in my sets - extra 5. But, starting today going on vacation and travel next few weeks - so I will see.

At age 67.5 years… not bad. And, I am not special genetically nor a gym rat. Lol. My new avatar pic was taken last week.
