Has anyone in the US had any success finding/getting BCG vaccine?
You can find freeze dried BCG on indiamart. Whether or not it’s viable after shipping is a mystery
Unfortunately there’s not a great way to determine if you received a viable dose/have immunity in the US. A skin TB test might react if you have had the vaccine, and there’s no blood test available that I’ve found for testing immunity.

Hi, can you tell me how much of the freeze-dried you used for a dose?
When I was a kid we all got the TB vax and most in my age group have the scar on the shoulder.
Also my mother had TB twice, once in the lung and spent time in the sanatorium (she called it the “san”), isolation from the gen pop was the standard in the 50’s, That was not too long before I was born. Later on she got TB in her knee and had to have surgery for it.
During Covid I often wondered why this was not brought back, separation of the severely ill from the general hospital population seemed to me like a good idea.
As a kid, I always tested positive for TB and had strong antibody response. Due to that I had an annual chest x-ray from about 7 until 11 when I got the vaccine. I probably had some immunity already from my mother.
During the 50’s TB decimated the indigenous population in Canada and is still all too common in that population.
