I’m not sure on the prices associated with Push but my basic understanding is that you need to continue to renew the prescription every 3 months and hopefully find the right person to write the RX. But at least something like that.
For medicines like Rapamycin, acarbose, SGLTi, etc it seems much easier to use services like:

Getting a prescription is really easy and there’s no hassle on the refills. Though I’m sure it’s more expensive than IndiaMart

If you’d like to get more sophisticated there are more comprehensive options like the below and many others. Personally I use Marek. They offer all of the common medicines talked about in the forum plus much more…along with lab monitoring.

Personally I like IndiaMart to first try a treatment and if I think it’s beneficial I’ll switch to an official US RX. I’m pretty sure IndiaMart medicines are legit but just based on my experience there not as potent as the US RX medicines, For example over the last couple year I have done many labcorp sirolimous tests. I try and keep the conditions of each test the same. Eat the same food or no food and wait the same time after the dose before the lab draw and just from my experience the blood levels of sirolimous are about 15-30% higher using US medicines vs like Biocon. I’m sure some will disagree…but just what I’ve found.

Way back, I read of an instance where Biocon rapamycin wasn’t all that. So I decided on Zydus. I was taking too much at the time, but did do a blood test and got a 68.3 ng/mL result 2 hours after a 12 mg Zydus plus grapefruit juice dose. That seems pretty potent. Did you check out Zydus against your US sources?

What Indian Pharma are your ordering from, and have you received any orders recently?

Yes, finding the dr is easy, but then you are subject to their gatekeeping, which is why I buy from India. I want the freedom to take what I want, and make changes to my regimen without the hassle of a prescriber’s permission.

Since you personally can bring meds into the USA, there might come a time when a vacation with a stayover in India to purchase meds might be well worth it.

Or ship stuff from India to a friend in Mexico and a quick hop across the border to pick up.

For those who are lucky to be a hop away, but don’t count on your goods not being seized under these new circumstances. I will be travelling to MX and was thrilled about bringing meds back, but now I probably won’t risk it.

I believe there is still a personal exemption for taking your meds into the USA. I had no problems bringing my meds in on my flight this past July.

Yea Push just rejected my request for Ivabradine. They accepted me for NP Thyroid a while ago (which I don’t even use anymore) but they’re strict.

I’ve carried pills in a pillbox from country to country dozens and dozens of times without any hassle. As far as I’m aware, security at airports haven’t been told to get stricter about checking for that. It’s really weapons and powders (which could be drugs) that they look for.

Thanks for this thoughtful and informative post. I hadn’t considered that the Indian brands would be less potent. I will certainly look into the providers you’ve suggested, the testing would be good to know. I haven’t followed up on that. I’ve been using the Indian based sirolimus for quite some time w/out a problem. Re: Push, there wasn’t a issue m finding a provider, but CVS limited the first rapamune rx to #30 although within the next couple days they reached out & said the limit was upped to 90. The Good RX coupons made it more reasonable. I use Apple Pharmaceutical, they are reassuringly responsive, more so than orher providers, and are currently looking into a work-around like everyone else. Thx again for being so generous with your experience and making the info available.

DeStrider, how did you bring the meds in to the US? were they in your checked bag or carry on? Did you have to declare them? Were they in bottles with your name and prescription info?I just read that rx meds brought in to the US from abroad are limited to a 3 month supply, and must be in their original sealed containers, and having the prescription is recommended to deal with CBP. “If you don’t have a U.S. prescription, you must provide evidence it’s for the continuation of a treatment you began in the foreign country.”

I found every single med I want to order from Platinumrx, India, and they have great prices. I asked them if they were still shipping to the US, since their site does not state that they have suspended it. If they are willing to ship, do you all think it would be safe to do so? The order would be for $800+ so maybe placing a small order first to see what happens?

The meds from India were in blister packs. I didn’t bring a prescription as I had none. I carried them in my backpack. It went through the scanners and no one said anything about them. They did search my backpack but that was because I forgot to take out a bottle of water. They never said anything about the meds.

I was carrying a year supply of galantamine and 100 pills of Brillo EZ. So about 600 pills in total.

While this may be technically true, I don’t think they care about Rx drugs. Can you imagine how much it would hold up the lines if they demanded to see a prescription for every pill in a pill box/weekly pill container, for instance? They have more important things to do, like search for bomb residue and Schedule 1 controlled substances.

Fwiw, I’ve been emailing with Jagdish about a potential order. He says they have been using DHL successfully. It’s considerably more expensive than Indian post, but not a deal breaker for me. What is the latest thinking on amount that is safe to order? I’m thinking of placing a pretty large order to cover me for the next year+ on my various Indian meds, but is that going to get it seized? Does anybody have experience dealing with Jagdish when an order doesn’t get through?

As I have documented, Jagdish has resent me an order (approx. $600 value), which the USPS did not deliver to me. I voluntarily paid the shipping again ($35). However, I am a very good customer ($ thousands).

My method for an order was to do a triplicate. Place the same exact order with three different vendors. Each individual order has 3-4-5 meds, each med 300-400 pills, to keep the package physically smallish. If one or even two packages don’t make it, hopefully the third does, and it’s a goodly amount (depending on the med). So far, only one package was not delivered. I’ve described my experiences with vendors and shipping in other related threads.

However, obviously, the landscape has changed. I am not placing any orders until the situation becomes more clear, and there is feedback from others, such as you. For now, I’m set on my med stack, but things can change if suddenly I need a different med etc. YMMV.

Not Jagdish in particular, but don’t expect any Indian seller to refund your money or replace the order if it didn’t get through. That is not his fault if sent in good faith.
