Yes, the science behind supplementing with many of the things we do just isn’t there.
I initially believed that taking taurine provided me with subjective benefits, but those benefits have since disappeared, suggesting that they were likely just a placebo effect.
Since I am always trying to reduce my daily stack of supplements, I can now put taurine in the also-ran group. I will do some of my research on the subject, but the two articles you cited are fairly convincing.
