Yes, a lot of the people at those low carb conferences are carnivores, and they have LDL through the roof. So they spend a lot of time saying that LDL’s don’t matter. Including doctors. They even have a new category called hyper responders (I fit all of the parameters for that) again with the idea that LDL and ApoB are unimportant. Any reputable lipidologist would react with horror to these statements. The lipidologists have the advantage of being able to support their position with consistent studies saying just the opposite.

But if you have a CAC score of zero and all you care about is whether you will die in the next 10 years, then the lipidologists might agree with that. But if your time horizon is longer, then they would go right back to you telling you to lower your LDL and ApoB.
