I am neither a hater or a fan. I learnt one thing from oliver zolman which was that randox offer a good testing service in the ok. I dont remember learning anything useful from brian johnson.

I should have added, “and those who are indifferent.”

This seems to be from January 2024, but some good information there.

Thanks for my morning laugh!
I realize he is a polarizing figure, but I really grew to like him after watching him on Rich Roll.
Thx for this and I’ll watch. The other day I think I saw he will have (or has) a Netflix doc coming.

He seemed pretty decent to me in this long form interview and did not try to avoid any of the topics.

I listened to a good chunk so far. Derek asks some really good questions. I like that he goes down the list of nearly everything Bryan takes and asks why. It’s more of a purist health interview than a casual “so why are you trying to live forever?” type of podcast.

Why is nobody interviewing Oliver zolman, that is who I want to hear from

Based on what was said in the interview, when he had the follistatin therapy, when a certain tweet was made, etc.
He has multiple doctors, and there isn’t one specific lead doctor. If that changes anything.

Actually there are a few interviews with him on YouTube, here’s one of them: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iRmZoCt3BWA

Isn’t Zolman some sort of a managing director for longevity, the one who has more strategic decisional power in BJ’s longevity scheme? At least, that’s what I grasped and what BJ also would tend to suggest.

I think he is an MD specialising in longevity.

No electricity here yesterday, so it was a perfect day for me to watch all 4 hours! I really enjoyed it. Once again, it made me like him more.
There is still a disconnect with the guy I watched and the guy who had the less than impressive reason to stop rapa.
I only first discovered this host about a week ago. He does a pretty good job just going for all the questions on all the topics even if he doesn’t always know what he’s talking about. It feels fine to me because he readily admits that fact.
In the same vein, I appreciate Johnson’s willingness to say I don’t know.
As a consumer of 2 of his supplements, I was surprised at some gaps in his knowledge about them. It really showed he does rely on his team, as he has said.
I’ve always wished someone would ask about their decision to offer items with so much sat fat (macadamias). I imagine it’s based on something, so I’m curious.

That isn’t what I understand, although media reports suggest otherwise. You can find him commenting on it at the end of a Viva Longevity! video at one of their summits:

Yes, he dismissed the fact straight. there might be several reasons. I too wondered, why a guy so young and, as bright as he may be, with necessarily limited experience. Perhaps BJ wants to avoid this question. There is something behind the lines, he explained in another podcast but, who minds, he has several MDs who follow him, at the beginning, I too was curious about Zolman, but he seems like an underwhelming character. Heed, me, I said ‘seems’.
yes I believe that is the situation, Zolman is the lead doctor I think.

No he is not the lead doctor as the video clip I linked above shows.

Let’s also keep in mind that BJ appears to change things pretty often. Dr. Zolman in the past has most probably been the leading longevity physician. Presently, BJ dismisses the question. ‘There are many’. But we know that many need to be coordinated by a single. Who is that single figure now? Still Zolman? Another one? No one?

Is anyone here discontinuing Rapamycin due to BJ saying that trials showed that it had negative effects on lifespan??
I haven’t used it ever since I had a bacterial infection a while ago but I’m still considering using it again some time in the future. But at most, I am willing to take it once every 3-6 months at 20mg single dose.
