this seems to be the per test cost - not that crazy if one gets a package of 10 ($13.60 per test)) or more:

FWIW
The units are available; as of mid February 2024 received an email from being on the waiting list.

It would be very convenient to do this at home, but a LabCorp ESR ordered through Marek Diagnostics (USA) is $13 ($8 plus $5 for venipuncture).
LabCorp ESR through Marek
Maybe saving time and the cost of transportation to the lab would be worth it if one wanted to test frequently.

I’ve had one of these for about a month and have done 4 tests. Correlates well with Labcorp results (exact same). After you take a test you get an email with a comment. e.g when I got a result of 6 comment was "result is of a 54 yo male. Result of 2 comment was “result of a 12 yo Norwegian boy”
Gotten it down to 1 in last test.

I just got email saying 20% off 299$ retail, guess black friday sale. Im guessing per test cost is still same though.
Did anyone get one of these and find anything useful about what supplements do for example?

I ended up buying one, so now I need to design a test protocol to see if my various supplements have an effect on my ESR. How’s this sound?
Monday start intervention A
Next monday ESR test then switch to intervention B
Next monday ESR test then switch to intervention A
Next monday ESR test then switch to intervention B
Hopefully see lower after both weeks of A or B and then I can go try the next difference. I’m thinking of starting with something likely to have biggest effect like daily tumeric dose. As I work down towards less powerful supplements I might have to do more rounds of testing, or maybe even try for 8 weeks instead of one? I did find that ESR can raise in 24-48 hours from infection but take weeks to lower, and studies have shown lowering in 8-10 weeks from tumeric and statins, so maybe I should only test every two weeks at least which would save a lot of money.
I don’t think I need washout periods between tests if I have enough time between tests, and using one of the previous interventions as my next baseline.
I’d recommend a review of this article.
I ran the rational ordering of pathology (labs) for Queensland Health in our Hospital District and had lots of research behind our recommendations.
An ESR is more likely to be misleading and adds nothing. For inflammatory conditions, CRP is highly preferred. The only time I’ll ever order an ESR is when someone has used this to track a condition - but even then, it is an inferior test for what I look at in the ER or in my longevity practice.
It’s likely easier to measure as one just needs blood to sit in a tube and at 1 hour (or extrapolated earlier) the number of mm the RBCs have fallen down with the plasma on top = the ESR

I’m not sure I can cancel it at this point. I get the hs-crp tested 2-4 times a year, but that’s not often enough given how often I change things, so even if its not quite as good the ability to test every 2-6 weeks conveniently seems useful.

I’m getting tired of closed source hardware / software. So many rent seekers that force people to use the hardware YOU buy with their closed source software, like a mobile app. Is the future we want really wearing different devices, connecting to different cloud services, and you receiving information on your health from the device you bought on the mercy of the company, and Apple or Google? Apple can for example disable your account bricking your phone (making you unable to install apps).

Hello everyone, thank you to the members of this group for your support this year. We launched a device to measure ESR levels right at home and many are using it to see the impact of inflammation lowering strategies. Just a quick note that we just launched a recurring subscription offer. What this means for experimenters is that you can try out the COR One for a much lower price of entry, so to speak. If you like getting ESR trends as you go about strategies to lower your inflammation, you keep the device. If not, you can send it back to us with no further commitment. Please check it out here: corhealth.com ENJOY!
