I saw this quote and was wondering where we are in testing things in these 3 classes. Sinxe berberine and sulforaphane are some of our best so far! However ecgc from tea was not so theyre not all winners. Has angone tested a terpenoid like beta carotene? I saw thats on the list.
“Polyphenols are one of the most common classes of bioactive compounds found in plants, along with alkaloids (e.g., berberine), organosulfur compounds (e.g., sulforaphane), and terpenoids (e.g., beta carotene”
potential organosulfurs to test:
Allacin - didnt see
Diallyl trisulfideis
ALA - i saw available
lipoic acid - i saw available
glutathione
Methionine - both had alternatives im not sure are same?

I wonder if ora can use this for extra data on aging performance? Probably too expensive. Or we can look for supplements that target this pathway?

Due to the major differences between worms and humans, my takeaway from these results is I am disregarding them if they fail, but paying more attention if they succeed.

The difficulty is that these worms dont really have senescent cells.

On the topic of sulforaphane, I used to take it when Rhonda Patrick really started getting excited over it. Avmacol and BROQ were the two tested brands (both very expensive) with both components of sulforaphane. So if you see a supplement called sulforaphane “glucosinolate”, don’t buy it or you’re wasting your money.
Jarrow Broccomax seems to be the right form but it hasn’t been tested to my knowledge. It is also suspiciously cheaper.

Im excited to see high dose sulforaphane although i think it wont dissolve fully. I expect one of my combos will beat just higher dose.
Glynac also interesting.

I just realized even sulforaphane hasnt approached the secret orb chemical with 71% improvement, so it should be relatively easy to find combos that do similar amounts.

One paper found more life extension with 100 vs 50, that’s why I wanted to reproduce it.
