It is a synthetic tobacco alkaloid?

Nicotine? Nicotine is 96 - 98 percent of tobacco alkaloids.

Googling “nicotine, longevity” and “nicotine, lifespan” produces only one study on mutant flies with Parkinsonism.

“enrolled participants aged 65 years or older with chronic inflammation associated with sarcopenia.”
Don’t see any comparisons to the multitude of other anti-inflammatories available.
We are constantly bombarded by the seemingly infinite number of researchers trying to find a patentable product for some treatment where there are already good treatments in place.

Late to the party, but the full paper is here: MyMD-1 Improves Health Span and Prolongs Life Span in Old Mice: A Noninferiority Study to Rapamycin | The Journals of Gerontology: Series A | Oxford Academic

As was pointed out earlier, standard survival curve is not significantly longer for MyMD-1 (A). Males lived much longer than females (B), but it’s not clear what is driving this. I’m not sure why they couldn’t do standard survival curve by sex and treatment like the ITP. Instead, they opted for a multivariate model which is where the “too good to be true” results are coming from (C). What seems to be driving the multivariate survival is males vs. females, and IL-17A, not MyMD-1 vs. rapa (D). So that really good survival chart looks like clever (misleading?) statistical manipulation.
