I have no idea how to get things into Germany, but as far as the US, the powder I’ve ordered for using in topical formulations (skin cream, etc.) the powder comes in a small brown box (about 3 inches square, regular cardboard box), and inside is a small plastic envelope with another envelope inside it, and some bubble wrap around it. A couple of grams obviously is an extremely small shipment amount; its 99% packaging.

No problems.

But it would seem that they could easily package it in a standard letter envelope for easier shipping. I recommend you contact the person at the email address you just posted (Sophia Jiang) and discuss with them and ask about their experience shipping to Germany.

@KERRY_BELL is in Spain I believe, and @Mac in Canada, so none of us have the experience that you would ideally need to answer the question about getting it into Germany.

I don’t know why you’d need to repackage it. I think its pretty discreetly packaged, but perhaps they can customize the packaging and labeling for you.

@RapAdmin, how was it declared? Germany is normally very difficult. Much much stricter than US.

In my opinion, to have a good chance to get through customs, it would need to have the right packaging. Probably a letter, I guess, or maybe hidden in something like a t-shirt and declared as such. Also, I think there might be big differences in how you ship it. I heard you have a higher chance to get past customs if you do express shipping?

@MAC said his first shipment got lost in customs and then he had a business contact repackage the second shipment. So, it would be interesting to know what exactly he did and if it was the Sophia contact or an entirely different contact not related to the company (as Sophia seems to have just been his contact to hhdpharm???).

It would be nice if someone who did it successfully in a difficult country has helpful experiences to share… Then I can tell hddpharm how to package and label.

If you or anybody knows more specifics, feel free to share…

It was a long time ago… so I’m not sure, the packaging is long gone. If I was in your situation I’d talk with the vendor (ask their experience shipping to EU countries), and do a small order ($100 to $200). That is how I first tried ordering from Indian pharmacies 6 years ago and was unsure of everything.

Of course, I know nothing of EU rules and regs. In the US customs just destroys the package if they don’t allow it through.

I ordered 5 grams because that would last me a very long time. My supplier treated it as a business package. (no vat) Shipped expensive Fedex. My package was held up in Customs until I paid VAT or given a resale number for vat purposes. The Fedex delivered to me next day. Fedex kept me informed what was happening. Customs in EU are really worried about getting the VAT. This was 3 yrs ago. Hope this helps.

Kerry, we haven’t seen you in a long time. Are you still taking rapamycin? Any other longevity therapeutics? How’s everything going for you health-wise?

I have been posting as World Traveler instead of Kerry Bell. Everything is good, but had a health scare with a Afib attack which was cured with 1 electric shock. Echo of heart was great. No one knows the reasons for Afib only guesses.

leapchem shipped my sirolimus with icepacks; they only last so long, though. but i guess it’s better than nothing. probably kept it cold for half the 2-week delivery time. i’ve not been able to get it past my stomach and into my small intestines, though, even w/it put into two dr-caps, and a third acid-resistant capsuline cap. not sure if it’s the sirolimus or the caps not working, or not eating right before ingestion.

leapchem is listed on the nih website as a reputable supplier; i’m not sure if i should try another powder provider, eating differently, or simply giving up and going to pills.

i got a quote from niba healthcare for 300 Siroboon 1mg tablets for $150 shipped; anyone familiar with this source/these tablets? that would equate to $3/week for a 6mg dose; at that price i think i could give up on the powder…

ok, so the same vendor supplying siroboon also supplies other products. i inquired about biocon’s rapacan, and received this reply:
"Price for Rapacan 1mg is $ 6 per strip of 10 tablets.

We want to inform you that Biocon sold the product Rapacan to Eris Life sciences…So now the Rapacan product is Marketed by Eris…"
they also said shipping by ems would be $40. (which was same for the siroboom, so the prices are actually a lot closer.) that’s still not too bad - ~$4.25/week. the least expensive i’ve found usa-sourced, is ~$8.50/week, and you need a prescription.

As much as 50% of rapamycin is destroyed by stomach acid. FDA approved tabs incorporate protective enteric methods.

i know this. according to tests done by dr-caps, they should be able to allow what’s inside them to pass thru the stomach and enter into the small intestines intact. i’ve not had good results so far.
