Grapefruit keeps me from over eating. I should employ this technique more because it really does help me.
Sardines are and great standalone food that keeps me from overeating.

A good brand.
I keep their wafers around to have a chocolate fix… good enough, but not so good that I overeat them.
I’ll just grab one or two

And @Nlo, ha, yes, my trick to keep from overeating is to eat things that are just not that good! I mean, how much kale and tofu can a girl eat :).
Lately, I’m actually needing to eat some less healthy tasty options to encourage myself to eat more because LDN has killed my love of food. LDN has been life changing for me, and needing to eat is a good problem to have, but I’m also not eating as ‘perfectly’ as I used to. Always a pro/con to everything!

Beth, what is your LDN dose, if you are willing to share? I love my super low dosing, but may need to push my dose a tad higher to decrease my overall food intake.

Happy to share. I have no idea if it works this way for everyone, but it’s worth a shot.
I take 4.5mg each evening. I started it for it’s potential longevity benefits and secondarily for it’s hope for ‘curing’ hashimotos (I just tested and those numbers are still quite high), but the happy accident was it makes me sleep like a baby!!! (Caveat, when I started, it turned me into a worse sleeper for almost 3 weeks).
I do miss my obsession with food, but it’s nice for once to be one of those rare unicorns who have to force themselves to eat

Thank you! I’m on .5 mgs and it helps me to avoid cravings for alcohol, and does help me to avoid over-snacking, generally. That said, I apparently still eat, snack and indulge enough to support more tummy than I want. Interestingly, I had a positive ANA in 2020, out of the blue (post Covid?) that they said was too high to be incidental, but they could not fit me into a specific autoimmune disease. I tested positive again a few years later. Last year, I started .25 mgs of LDN (off and on) and then upped it to .5 mgs. My ANA was negative in December. I’m not sure if LDN had anything to do with that, but I agree, it is a very cool medication.
