No disagreement from me there. I take vit D, but also take cod liver oil; lysine supplement, because the amounts are not that big in meat, and I do not eat too much meat.

Daily:
- 200mg caffeine. Primarily for energy and motivation. Espresso seems to give me cognitive benefits on top of caffeine, but sadly my stomach can’t handle espresso anymore.
Moderate caffeine intake was associated with a decreased risk of all-cause mortality, regardless of the presence or absence of coffee consumption. Association Between Caffeine Intake and All-Cause and Cause-Specific Mortality: A Population-Based Prospective Cohort Study
- 1mg finasteride. Primarily to prevent hair loss, but probably pro-longevity via prostate. Relative to T alone, T+DHT appears to not produce a statistically significant increase in fat-free or lean mass (perhaps due to local metabolism).
Changes in fat-free mass in response to graded testosterone doses did not differ in men in whom DHT was suppressed by dutasteride from those treated with placebo, indicating that conversion of testosterone to DHT is not essential for mediating its anabolic effects on muscle. Effect of Testosterone Supplementation With and Without a Dual 5α-Reductase Inhibitor on Fat-Free Mass in Men With Suppressed Testosterone Production A Randomized Controlled Trial
- 500mg tributyrin. Butyrate pro-drug I started a year ago and I largely credit with a 95% reduction in gastritis-like symptoms that were very negatively impacting me for 3 years prior. It’s produced by gut microbial metabolism of fiber and is primary energy source of our colon cells.
Oral administration of sodium butyrate (NaB) reduced the body fat content and blood lipids, increased whole-body energy expenditure, and improved insulin sensitivity. Additionally, NaB induced oestrogen receptor alpha (ERα) expression, activated the phosphorylation of AMPK and PGC1α, and improved mitochondrial aerobic respiration in cultured skeletal muscle cells. Butyrate mitigates metabolic dysfunctions via the ERα-AMPK pathway in muscle in OVX mice with diet-induced obesity
- 25mg acarbose before carb-heavy meals
Not daily:
Would consider adding lithium, astanxanthin, metformin, and PCSK9i. Diet is still a work in progress. Keto gives me the most mental benefits, and probably best activation of AMPK (which is separately regulated by energy status and glucose), but I’m not sure it’s best for blood lipids and it’s harder to maintain.

What brands would you consider for this?
Did you start this at a different time that you started the acarbose? (Since acarbose potential also could have some of the get remodeling benefits)

The first 6 months I was taking Gut Inflammation Formula by PeptideSciences (each capsule contains 400mg tributyrin, in addition to the peptides BPC-157 and KPV). I was taking 2-4 capsule/day, so 800-1,600mg tributyrin.
Over the past 6 months I stopped taking the PeptideSciences formulation and switched to tributyrin-x by Healthy Gut.
I only started the acarbose in the past few weeks, although I am aware that some of its effects may be mediated via butyrate.

Any recommended company for the GHK-cu topical?
@DeStrider, what is reasoning behind including this combo? I am taking quercetin as natural antihistamine supp from time to time and interested in role of enzymes in aged immune system functioning, but not included anything from it into my weekly routine (until now).

I take it on Mon-Wed-Fri. I bought it for the quercetin. The bromelain was a bonus.

Ok, according to Link:
Clinically, we know that quercetin alone is slow to be assimilated into the body. For our patients, we prefer a quercetin blend that includes a clinically effective dose of bromelain , a plant-based digestive enzyme extracted from pineapple. Bromelain boosts absorption by helping to move quercetin from the digestive tract into the bloodstream.
Make sense. Are you including quercetin because of its senolytic function (even in light of last ITP discoveries), or rather as general anti-inflammatory agent?

I added it originally to pair with Fisetin. However I have since given up on Fisetin, but during my reading, I have found it amplifies the effects of other polyphenols and has some food features itself. So while I will probably cut Fisetin, I will probably keep Quercetin.

Make sense. Thank you, @DeStrider: now I am highly interested in role of quercetin in Tumor/Cancer prevention

I’m a 57 year old female. I had my genetic age tested in may of 2023 and it said is was 61. I will be taking it again in may to see if I have moved the needle. I’m very healthy for the most part (I don’t drink or smoke and I’m 153 # 5’11 1/2. I had pneumonia for three months (literally didn’t know I had it) last year and it turned to pleurisy so I’m really hoping the rapa can restore my lungs. E

Welcome Eliz, thanks for sharing. Why Naltrexone and why morning?
adding ezetimibe to my statin use brought my lipid levels down significantly. I am really impressed with how well its working for me. definitely worth a try.

Hi Eliz, Can you tell a little more about the NAD+ injections? Were you taking it orally before? And why the switch and how are the effects different?

Eliz, I have not heard about Epithalon for quite a while. So, I have questions if you don’t mind answering. I would like to know how long you’ve been taking it and whether or not you’ve noticed anything, good or bad. If you don’t mind providing the dose, time of day you take it, whether taken with or without food, and sources you trust, that would be good, too. Thanks.
