I intend putting the results in a poster for BSRA 2025 (along with lots of other things). I am happy to agree the associated words with people if they wish. There won’t be many words on this. Although the poster is A0 I want to get a lot in it.

That sounds great. Hopefully the higher dose results are out before this event starts.

The event is in September, but the poster will be physically printed on paper and then laminated. The poster with extended text will be published on https://citrate.science

Hence the deadline for being in the paper poster is probably mid August. I can update the poster on citrate.science at any time.

I will put the draft there at some point, but at the moment it is too untidy to go anywhere.

I wouldn’t be surprised if the higher doses work. Clearly the highest dose tried was the lowest minimum dose to see any sort of effect so anything tested should be above that dosage to rule out longevity effects. It’s possible that higher doses will just yield bigger worms of the same lifespan or even worse but it’s also possible it will swing in the other direction. Seems smart to continue the experiment.

A little IPAM experiment I’m doing on myself:
I purchased 1g of IPAM and dissolved some into a tiny bit of moisturizer. I’ve been putting a little on my hand at night before bed.

This isn’t a great control, but I made a 2nd cream in the same moisturizer base that I added 3g of rapamycin and a little melatonin. I’ve been putting it on my other hand.

IPAM treated hand looks a bit smoother.

I took before photos. I’ll take after once I finish up the IPAM cream.

IPAM basically is a recyclable electron and proton carrier, this is its secret.
You can see it as the non peptide brother of SS-31, (with all advantages of non being a peptide, but this is another story…)

Initially I tried solution pglchem, 1-2-4-8 milligrams per day, for a week.

PEG/PG is toxic then I ordered powder pglchem.

I tried up to 0.5grams oral, the taste was bitter to acid, something like soap.
I started at 50mg doubling each day, at 5th day i had to stop at 0.5g, due to upper stomach burn.

Indeed IPAM is categorized as irritant chem when swallowed

First, for sure pglchem quality is poor.

Second, for sure it trigger hormesis, and i believe the best safe dosage for us is 20-40mg not more.

Third, i noticed some good on first low doses in solution, effects was less heaviness from life, I suffer chronic insomnia, so I can feel better when something help or no mitochondria, which insomnia fragments.

I want give a second chance from a better source.

Thanks for the experience report. If you do find a better source that sells to the public please share it here.

IPAM Announcements:

  1. New results on higher dose worm test should come out in 10 or less days. That will be time to make a pretty big announcement on IPAM which will be cool. Look forward to it.

  2. For the topical experiment I’m swapping IPAM cream from hands to around eyes now. I’ll also maintain applying the base moisturizer cream to my hands to see if their condition worsens when it doesn’t contain IPAM. Before photos of my eye area have been taken so we will see what happens.

I have the original charts in my poster, but will happily update them. I have send a final version to the printer to be printed, but
a) Can do another version if needs be
b) Can update the website with anything anyway.

I has been confirmed as poster no 8 at the conference. Previously I had poster something like 50.

Do You have any info?

If the result is particularly amazing it might be worth reprinting. I’ll update ASAP.

Not on the 150uM and 500uM dose worm lifespan results. I’ll be presenting this and more once that information is out.

If they are supposed to provide the results in a few days and the duration is limited by the lifespan of the worms, that means the result will be the same.

The lifespan of the worms ordinarily is not that many days anyway. The maximum age last time was around 30 days. You can probably tell if there is a variation after 22 days.

They only do 30 days and give a % of how many are still alive compared to control.

I agree. They haven’t given me the information and quite frankly I don’t mind waiting until the study is complete as I am busy anyway. No sense in ruining the surprise.

This reeks of fraud IMO. I’m sure the Admin has seen this?

It’s a real startup Ora Biomedical that’s doing the experiments. What are you claiming exactly?

Admin is 100% aware of this and Ora Biomedical is a well known and reputable company on this website and in the longevity field. Every dollar went towards the study.

Matt Kaeberlein is a co-founder.

I don’t understand what you see here that looks like Fraud.

As others have confirmed Ora Biomedical are a well established company that quite a few people have had dealing with other than with IPAM.

There are problems with this (and I participated in funding this trial)
a) Worm somatic adult cells don’t divide
b) The best way to extend a worm lifespan is to kill the food.
c) I don’t like Ora’s contract.

I have seen worm experiments for example with melatonin that conflict.

It is, however, a rapid and relatively inexpensive route to having some data from having very
little data.

A good first step to getting people interested in a compound for testing in larger creatures.
