I gather that if one lives long enough, deafness will happen – unless a treatment is found, so this article is good news. Not a fix, but hopefully a step along the way.

That will be interesting and in my case, can’t get here soon enough. I like that it represents a different approach than cloning and implanting the inner ear cells which was the focus of Frequency Therapeutics research. Unfortunately, it failed. I had spoken with their lead researcher over the years, Dr. LeBel and had thought progress was positive but ultimately not. I wish them luck.
