@Rituparn, I just started rapamycin in January of this year so there are many people here more experienced than me. With that disclaimer out of the way-I had taken it for 4 months orally before making a topical rapa spray so only 2 months so far. My various dark spots haven’t changed much yet except where I use my home IPL device on them. I do have a actinic keratosis spot on my cheek that is shrinking though. My overall skin appearance does seem slightly improved in my opinion and my sister-in-law agrees. She asked me recently what I’d been using on my skin. I’ve read on this site that it takes about 8 months to see the the full benefits.

Is it Nira lazer that you are using? Looks like you are already sure that it’s the lazer, not Rapamycin, that works well on spots. The description of the Nira lazer doesn’t say that it’s an IPL. I didn’t buy it yet - still trying to decide which one is the best.
Thank you for your prompt reply. Will surely check this and other options too.

@LaraPo, I’m just using my Remington iLight Pro that I’ve owned for years. It’s marketed for home laser hair removal. In another thread someone shared a YouTube of a lady using hers for dark spots so I decided the give it a try and it does definitely help. The spots shrink and sort of scab over after multiple treatments per week and slowly fade away. It’s not nearly as powerful as professional IPL but for me it’s easy because I can do it at home for virtually free besides the cost of replacement bulbs.

L bought NIRA laser package a bit less than 2 months ago. I am very happy with the results to date… I previously was using my red light panels… was happy with them but the NIRA is much better I was trying to post photos but can’t figure out how!

To post photos is easy - just copy a photo from your album and paste it in your message. The commands are Copy and then Paste.

Before
45 days later… only laser and the serums they supply got everything on sale for about 600 using almost daily I haven’t had any new Botox or fillers. And I normally would have had Botox in September?

Patty, you can use Novos app for Facial Aging to let computer determine how you reduced your facial aging. This is the link: Facial Age Test to Compute Face Age & Skin Aging
Start with uploading your first picture, wait for the evaluation email to arrive, then repeat with the second picture. I always do it when comparing results of either a new device or a new booster/serum, etc. It helps. If you want some specific suggestions that you could apply now, send me an email.

While I do agree that partial reprogramming won’t tackle everything and that we will need damage repair stuff, yours is not a perfect metaphor, as computers can’t (yet?) (re) build themselves.
We will need Michael Levin’s and Jean Hebert’s “stuff”, I think.
And we are probably one big breakthrough away from LEV. Stuff we do is a win win. It either moves you into the direction of LEV or at least makes you arrive a bit better at older ages.
If only we could reprogram like Turritopsis Dorhnii.
I tried that Novos test for face age:
Took a photo and Uploaded it: email said Age 60
- I shaved
Took a new photo and Uploaded it: email said Age 56
=> More AI training is needed
(BTW: I was happy; Chrono Age 63)

56 and 60 are pretty close. An unshaven face will naturally look older even without AI. For example, if Aubrey de Grey cuts his hair and shaves his beard we’ll perceive him as a much younger man. I find Novos app giving pretty accurate results. Age.toolpie app on the other hand always gives much younger results. The same photo of mine (which is in my profile) was evaluated as 40 by age.toolpie and as 56 by Novos. It’s a big difference.

That is something that’s been a great branding thing for Aubrey. That beard has made him look like Father Time since the 1990s

In 2006, when the Yamanaka factors were discovered and the Nobel Prize was awarded, Aubery was actually proven right. Because if the legal ethical approvals regarding the application of the Yamanaka factors are truly received and if they are developed and applied a little more, biological aging will probably be stopped radically, let alone a thousand years. Who knows, maybe it is even being tested on some people on islands far from the legal controls of countries, maybe immortal people have already been made.

Thanks so much for sharing such very clear images - it is much appreciated. What a nice improvement; certainly in the upper lip region, and malar/submalar region. I rarely ever see such improvements with at home devices. Admittedly I’m too lazy to use such devices, but I must say this is the first time I see a real improvement from it in clear and consistent pictures. Love your hair colour also.

So far it only increased median lifespan in mice by 25% regardless of how many doses were given.

In terms of Aubrey de Grey, please refer to Richard Miller (founder of NIA’s ITP) here:
