I like the integration with mobile health monitors (Fitbit, Apple Watch, etc.), but most of the functionality seems to be more “twitter for health” (which has its positives and negatives)…

I’ve spent a good deal of time on this app - Totally disagree that this is twitter or that is the main functionality. The chat function is a distraction.
IMO the main function is the metrics that you can track against what is ideal and, if you so wish, participate in leaderboards to compare yourself to others. Much like the thread here on a friendly competition to reduce age - this is that put into action.

I’ve not tried those features yet - but will do so given your review. That sounds like it would be valuable.

Usability (UI), seems like it needs work. From what I can see, it seems like you need to manually enter a fair amount of information (all the blood test measures, etc.) … which means that feature won’t likely get used. There is also a workout tracking area to the app, and then the auto-aggreggating of health data from Fitbits/ Oura, etc. which is interesting but many other apps do.

Thx, because you two were my canary in the coal mine, I also played around with it.

It seems like it has real potential.

One thing I notice is the leaderboards currently rank you in such a way that if yours is the highest number, it ranks you as #1. So if your ApoB is the highest, you WIN!!!

If I were single, I think it would be a great way to meet like minded people. I’m foreseeing quite a few Don’t Die marriages on the horizon!

If I lived in a different area, I could see meeting up with groups for hikes etc. This could really become a great tool for those with no circle of health/fitness minded friends to find a community. I am liking it!!!

I don’t fully understand the charts that show where I am compared to others, but that is on me… my brain just has a block for science and math (I’m a concept person). Having said that, all of you have been great for my aging brain. All these things I find hard to grasp have slowly been seeping in and I’m starting to absorb some of it.

I’ll continue to mess around with this. It might even motivate me to do some of the tests so I can input them.

So who owns this user data that the app collects? What purposes will this data be used for?

There are a couple of leaderboards that are incorrectly ranked. I contacted them and they are working on correcting this. I encourage you to take the functional tests. BJ is always claiming he has the biological age of a teen or 20 yo. These tests show the metrics he is using.
There is a wide variety of functional tests to assess where you are biologically - strength, reaction time, flexibility, etc.
As a 72 yo, seeing my tests marked as teenager tells me that my protocols are having an effect.

I also like competing with what I think are (based on the comment threads) younger people and getting ranked in the top 10

It sounds like they’ve put some work into “gamifying” the app and key biomarkers, which is great.
