I also get the brand of this successfully.
I asked my vet if I could share this with my cats for their CKD, but for that indication, she said no.

Why would you want rapamycin in powder form? As we learned in the PEARL trial, the form is very important. Using a compouded rapamycin resulted in only 30% bioavailability compared to the same amount in a pill from the brand name. Something about the pill coating or some other aspect of the formulation allows for rapamycin to be absorbed. I would be very worried that a powder would not have the proper bioavailability. Recall too the ITP experience in mice, where they couldnāt get rapamycin to work until a company developed a special formulation that allowed absorption. Then there is the experience with dodgy formulation from a downmarket brand Siroboon which gave very poor results, some people reporting zero presence in blood. I personally would stay far away from rapamycin powder. Unless of course you want it for some other purpose, like topical in a cream or toothpaste or something, in which case, ignore the above

No - much better deals out there (though without quality testing, hard to tell for sure)ā¦
People have also had good luck with this vendor:
Some other posters have vouched (3rd party analysis, personal side effects) for Rapamycin sourced from http://www.hhdpharm.cn/en-us/ (WHP)
I was quoted:
USD$60 Per 1000mg
USD$120 Per 2000mg
USD$300 Per 5000mg
+$50 for shipping, and any wire fees (typically $15 USD).
Good service, easy to deal with.
I lost my first 1g shipment to Customs, but ordered a 2nd shipment (I redirected from WHP to a business contact in China, who repackaged, on-forwarded to me) of 4000mg for $220 delivered, or USD, $0.055/mg. They gave me a deal on 2nd order to compensate for the lost shipment.
My contact: hhdpharm06@outlook.com (Sophia Jiang)

Hi- Can you suggest how one might find a business contact in China who would be willing to repackage and on-forward shipment?
What country are you in? I would suggest you talk directly with he supplier(s).
Iām based in the U.S., but I like the idea of using a third-party reshipperāone of my previous packages was already ālostā in customs, so Iād prefer to avoid that happening again.

Thanks. I forgot that rapamycin requires a special coating for oral ingestion, but I might look into making a rapamycin cream.

Itās not the coating, itās improving solubility with nanocrystals or similar.
I have received my latest package from Jagdish on time. It took 11 days. No complaints.
Meanwhile Iāve had to drop two of my Indian suppliers. First Safe Overseas, and now Forveda. Forveda always had a habit of attempting to put me in a situation of fait accompli - sending packages in two pieces without first consulting, or attempting to substitute a mediction from a different manufacturer; when I objected, and asked for a different medication and a quote, he grew offended and radio silence. Well, Iām never buying from him again. So of the original three I mentioned here, only Jagdish proved to be totally reliable. I in turn will continue to buy from him. But yes, based on personal experience I cannot recommend either Safe Overseas or Forveda.
As I always atttempt to put my orders in triplicate from three sellers simultaneously, Iāll be looking for new suppliers in India. That will happen in the fall as Iām taking a break in the summer season (too hot for transportation). And always remember: customer service is key. Many sellers donāt appear to understand even the basics of customer service - move on. There are plenty of sellers out there, no reason to put up with poor service. All IMHO, and YMMV.

I agree, I received excellent service from Sophia Jiang in China. I ordered powdered rapa, and powdered dasatinib, for topical use. I received my order promptly without any issues, however, this was in 2024, so I donāt know if there are more challenges now with international orders.

How long the process take, ship and reship to US?
I canāt remember, it was a long time ago. I recommend contacting the vendor to get this type of information as it likely has changed due to the current international trade environment.

Warning for those shipping from India using wise.com: wise has changed their interface, so be prepared to spend more time figuring out how to identify your seller when you jump through the necessary wise hoops.
Just ordered a new shipment. I am still using Apple Pharmeceuticals. And for other meds than rapa. Iāll report back if anything interesting happens in customs.

Thanks, sol. Iām delaying new orders until the fall, November or thereabouts, to avoid the hot season. I order from Jagdish, but I try to do the same order in triplicate, so Iāll need two other sellers, and my previous ones flaked out (Safe Overseas, and Forveda). So Iām following everyones experiences with their sellers to pick my next ones (other than Jagdish with whom Iām staying). Apple Pharmaceuticals is a new one for me, so Iāll follow your reports with interest!

Make sense. I wanted to order before the tariffs (and fast-shifting policies) got (more) complicated.
(I used to use Jagdish, but after being repeatedly frustrated, gave up, and moved to Apple Pharm, and am happy with this seller.)
