The irreversibility of cartilage degradation seemed to be one of those rate limiting bottlenecks to human healthspan if not lifespan that there didn’t seem to exist practical solutions for. So this sounds very exciting:

I was also very confused by that title :joy:

:joy: I was clearly sipping too much of the good stuff last night. I’m in my home country in the Mediterranean and living the good life for a little while.

Not currently available in the U.S. but would be worth a trip to Europe. Unrestricted mobility, including high-impact exercise, six months post-injection. It’s one of the miracles I’ve been praying for. Now if I could only find the right dose of klotho.

I haven’t looked into it yet, but can it replace meniscus tissue? My daughter just had ACL reconstruction and 3/4 of her meniscus removed.

Go to the sight and download both documents. Good info.

I’d use ChatGPT in research mode to begin probing such questions as this is obviously very new. But absolutely worth a trip to Europe. The flight and accommodations’ cost is a rounding error to the cost of surgery and this sounds about as good as it can get! I used to closely follow U.S. orthopedic surgeons discussing options for joints and this kind of tech sounded a long way off as recently as 6 months ago.

Yeah but you still need an orthopedic surgeon to perform the procedure— note the debridement required beforehand and the injection presumably under minimally invasive surgery. So unless you’re a surgeon yourself you still need the provider.

Exactly my point. If one finds a willing surgeon, and the only difficulty is availability in the US, there are distributors to buy it from.

I’ll be surprised if you find a willing surgeon. They won’t try something new on you — too scared of malpractice suits and whatnot. They will dip their toe carefully after learning about it from a seminar followed by whatever they do next to get their toe acclimated to the upcoming dipping. Would love to be wrong about it but usually that’s how things go. Best to go to Germany anyway and try under someone for whom it won’t be the first time, to experiment on you.

Some of the clinical trials for Novocart 3D may still be enrolling participants.
