Questions for Matt. Next Episode.
I’ve dealt with chronic inflammation… for two decades. After researching Vitamin R and joining here, I started taking Rapamycin. I take 6 mg/week continuously. I settled there to err on side of caution but don’t have any clear benefit. Never, knock on wood, had mouth sore. Took one R vaca. I’m 62. Started at 60. Told I look 40 ish.
My question is:
Should I go up weekly until I have noticeable benefit? Or side effect?
My body tends to feel effects of medication briefly, then stops. It’s the fibro/ME way of telling me I pushed too hard for too long and my body isn’t interested in helping me after ignoring it for so long.
I believe this is helping my insides, maybe lesser fog but muscles still burn, wave of exhaustion still too familiar.
I’ve tried everything I know in these decades and continue, on my own, to do my best self care regime including supplements that feel helpful. I’m listening for every little “eek” my body tries to tell me now. I’ve come a very long way in ten years with only a genetic need for lowest dose of levothyroxine/thyroid.
Ditched all remaining western piles of pills.
May start something for cholesterol after my lp(a) test results come in next week. Lifetime of elevated ldl.
Dose increase?
Stop when I feel a benefit or side effect?
Does this seem like a rational plan?
I appreciate any input.
I know all wisdom here comes with a disclaimer:)
Thank you for your patience through back story.
