I intend to delete this post after awhile, since it feels in poor taste to leave online. I had an appointment with Dr Alan Green last year in April, which I put a 50% deposit down for, and it was cancelled. I received an email saying all appointments would be rescheduled in a week. After many weeks I asked if my reschedule was overlooked, because I wasn’t contacted, and was assured by Dr Green that the office would contact me (a dedicated office contact email/phone number is not available; communication was only possible through Dr Green). That never happened, and when I tried to contact the office (through Dr Green’s email) again, I learned in an online forum that Dr Green passed. I did wait quite awhile because I was trying to save money for the rest of the appointment. The office never contacted me, and won’t refund my deposit for services not received. To me, it’s quite a lot of money to just say ‘Oh well’, though I shouldn’t have to justify wanting the money back with my own financial state. I’ve contacted the office (which is Dr Green’s email) about 6-10x about this, very politely, and got one response in the beginning of December (saying thanks for condolences and also asking for my payment details, which I provided a copy of from my bank) but my request for a refund has been ignored. Does anyone have a suggestion about what to do or did the same thing happen to you? I’m sure this behavior is not at all in the nature of what would have happened if Dr Green were alive. I had minimal email contact with him, but in the very short exchanges found him to be quite a mindful and caring person. Thanks for any advice.

The executor of his estate needs to clear all debts for closure, and they will eagerly do so. Try to send a letter to Estate of Dr Green at his last address. Good luck.
