I find it interesting that Dr Katcher has discovered this âE5â, and yet hasnât used it on himself? Other than one hand.

I assume because heâs not sure if itâs safe yet. Externally is much less risky than internally.

Of course heâs 79 years old, but youâre right, he needs it bad. Lol.

A well done review of Katcherâs research. In the comments are some interesting conjectures from Akshay Sanghavi (partner and co-author) and other scientists to how and why this research is promising. I highly recommend reading Josh Mitteldorfâs well balanced and informed view on this topic.

A major finding is that exosomes from a young pig can rejuvenate an old rat . It is remarkable, very lucky, and certainly not to be taken for granted that such specific signals can cross species lines. What a horrible situation we would have been in if it turned out that the best anti-aging treatment available depended on harvesting the blood of babies.(Emphasis in the original article.)
As of April 2023, China was home to the largest number of pigs of any country with over 450 million heads. That year, the European Union and United States were second and third in the list, with over 134 and 74 million heads respectively.
Global overview
There were about 778.64 million pigs worldwide as of April 2022, meaning that China was home to more than half of the global pig population.
Less than one billion pigs, for I do not know how many old humans. Time to invest in Iowa.

125 million slaughtered each year in US alone. Thatâs a lot of blood/plasma.

I really enjoy watching this whole thing and Iâm pulling for Dr. Katcher. I hope he lives long enough to use his own miracle juice. But I have to say I know Iâm too much of an optimist because this happened to me with cold fusion too. The stories were too good.
Yes, Iowa can really raise corn, beans, and pigs fed corn and beans. I canât drive much more than 3 miles of gravel without going by a feeding operation.
I like pork, but it does not really like me. I wonder if itâs the Neu5gc? It causes inflammation. Anyway Iâm happy if pigs can finally do something positive for our health. I would not invest in a feeding operation at this time.

it appears that Harold Katcher has left Yuvan. I donât know what this means for E5. I hope that he finds a home for the treatment. It seemed really promising.

Yuvan have put in for the Xprize:

Yes. But he posted on LinkedIn that he has left the company, and as itâs his research Iâm not sure if theyâll continue with it.
His âopen to workâ question asks a number of other questions. To which is would be helpful to know the answer.

In the comments section of the recent Modern Healthspan interview with Akshay Sanghavi, it is suggested that he was merely talking about taking a role raising money for Yuvan - not leaving the company. That was only someoneâs interpretation, not necessarily a fact.
Anyone know any more about this?
I read a comment Harold wrote himself yesterday that he has left the company. We can only speculate. My concern is that the research gets mothballed.

âI am looking for new partners to bring rejuvenation to all mankind. If we make money, fine, but getting a reproducible rejuvenation treatment that can be commercialized will completely change mankindâs journey, and that is my mission. My last company did not allow me the freedom to develop the product, and wasted huge sums of money on nothing of value. I want to be CEO and direct the allocation of money to where it is really useful for all of our mutual goals; rejuvenation and life-extension. I already have proof of principle, itâs a matter of record; and now itâs a matter of engineering. I would like the assistance of people with on-hands research experience - weâre going for the big prize (and may also get the Xprize on the way).â
âActually I replied to you and everyone at the beginning of these replies; I want to direct research as CEO, I donât want anyone to tell me what to do, what I require. I donât believe anyone knows better than me. Not a brag, just the truth.â
It would be useful to know the other side of this disagreement.
He does seem to intend possibly getting involved with the XPrize. (not with Yuvan I assume)

Hard to know what to make of it. One thing thatâs always slightly bothered me is why this research hasnât attracted more attention. Again, the worst thing we can do is speculate. I hope that someone steps up and provides Haroldâs research with the funding it needs to prove it one way or another. However, I canât imagine anyone is going to give him millions of dollars and make him a CEO without any oversight.

It strikes me possibly that the funders were not persuaded and hence would not open up the pursestrings.
Maybe because it canât be patented?
