I love GSE. I take it instead of Pycnogenol/pine bark for vascular health (much cheaper, by everything Iâve read essentially the same active compounds, and tons of animal and human published studies with GSE). The main problem with GSE is potential for concentration of pesticides from non-organic grapes when extracted. The only organic GSE Iâve been able to find is from Pure Synergy. itâs more expensive than other GSEs, but itâs still cheaper than Pycnogenol and you get way more proanthocyanidins for your buck IMO.

Love that last study showing outright reversal and even disappearance(!!) of carotid plaques with only 200mg of GSE per day.

Link for the Pure Synergy brand of the GSE you use?
Anyone take grape seed extract as a senolytic? I am mixing 2.8 g with EVOO and taking it once a month for two days in a row. Anyone know the proper protocol for this?
Also heard you shouldnât take Resveratrol with it as it is an antioxidant and blocks the senolytic effects. I find this strange as Resveratrol is from the grape skinâŠ

What doses of Taurine and Grape seed extract is most advantageous?
FWIW, i have taken GSE for years (for prostate health), but this studyâs relevance to most here is a question. This is whom they excluded in this study:

âMajor exclusion criteria were polyphenol high diet (â„5 portions of vegetables or fruits per day), and intake of blood pressure-lowering medication, statins, or interfering supplements.â.
Iâd say many here are on a high polyphenol diet, or take supplements that have lowering BP as one of the effects, Many are also on statins.
So their treatment group probably has not much overlap with folks here. The question becomes is there something about GSE in particular that lowers BP, or do high polyphenol diets in general do so, and therefore GSE only works as a kind of stand in for polyphenols in general.
Since, as I mentioned I do take GSE myself, I am always interested in research pertaining to this, just that not all studies are going to be relevant to us here. YMMV.
