I’d love to see Rhonda Patrick elaborate on this as she’s a huge proponent of sauna use precisely to pulse unregulate HGH.
I love how the sauna feels so post pregnancy I’ll be doing it on the regular regardless. But I’m curious what she has to say on this.

What does this mean for the health efficacy of multiple day fasting as HGH seems to more than double during a longer fast? Would that be bad for longevity as well?
Thats a good question. I have not dove into that area of data. I have enough of a challenge with 3 day fasts… But perhaps people with an interest in doing longer fasts can dig into this issue.
July of 2023 we (my wife and I) started Terzepatide to get our weight under control. So far it’s been hugely successful for us.
August 2023 we added a stack of CJC1295-noDAC (250mcg) + Ipamorelin (400mcg) 5 nights a week, 3 weeks a month, as close to bed time as possible. I chose these 2 peptides for a variety of reasons, related to functional timing, and hopefully safety.
September 2023 we added 75mg of DHEA at bedtime.
This is not an exact “copy” of the TRIIM protocol (Somatropin, Metformin, DHEA) but it’s as close as I am comfortable with for now.
The stated reason for Metformin in the TRIIM protocol is for glucose control.
I’m hoping TZ, which is excellent at this, is a reasonable substitute. I know there are other/different benefits between Met and TZ so the TRIIM results may be somewhat dependent on some other factor that Met brings to the table. TZ is also an excellent anti-inflammatory for the brain. Not sure if Met is.
As far as HGH goes, Somatropin the synthetic HGH does have “issues” and that is why I chose secretagogue peptides that tell the hormonal system to produce HGH as opposed to just supplying it. I chose the noDAC version of CJC1295 for it’s short half life plus Ipamorelin both with a “natural” ability to stimulate HGH release during the normal sleep cycle. The DAC version If CJC 1295 has a much longer half-life and causes the system to produce HGH outside the typical times (first 2 hours of sleep) so you would only dose it 2 to 3 times a week.
I like having a nice easy routine

Does it make you hungry, help your sleep? I got some raw powder from a trusted supplier and am waiting for testing results to come back.
It makes me sleep really well and hasn’t increased my appetite, but I take a very low daily dose (0.5ml of chemyo brand)

Great vocabulary. Great technical writing.
Somebody once said that he if he knew the meaning of every word in a medical dictionary, he’d be a pretty good doctor.

Derek, the body builder interviewed by Attia, is extremely knowledgeable and highly articulate, defying the stereotype of the average weight lifter. The whole interview increased my interest in the GH-releasing peptides and, all disclaimers aside, it helped me determine which ones I should try.

The paper provides a good dosing regimen. Low and slow is the way to go, at least for us geezers.
Getting some Gonadorelin in a couple weeks and will be adding that to my stack to increase my Test. Again not using Test itself, trying to get my body to produce it’s own with the help of Gonadorelin.

I think I’ll try ipamorelin and CJC-1295. Peptides are great. I’m glad to have discovered them.

I’m happy with the results so far

Hi Steve,
You seem to have deep knowledge of peptides, especially regarding those telling the body to secrete GH. Are you able to share details of your supplier?

A pre-print:
Isolating the Direct Effects of Growth Hormone on Lifespan and Metabolism
Prior studies show that disrupting somatotropic axis components extends laboratory mouse lifespan, but confounding effects of additional genes and hormones obscure the specific impact of growth hormone (GH) on longevity. We address this issue by using mice with a specific knockout of the GH gene, revealing that disrupting GH alone substantially increases lifespan. The longevity effects are accompanied by altered metabolic fuel utilization, directly linking GH action to aging mechanisms.

I’m wondering about this approach about blocking IGF-1 and GH is a bit uni dimensional approach, you will always need it in your brain and tissues to split and regenerate from the stem cells i dont want to live to 200 yo with reduced intelligence, brain mass or weak body. Even the estrogens or E5 and the pig brain drive growth factors are based on growth approach ( look for estrogens and thier interactions with the IGF1 receptors in the brain )
so i guess fighting Senescence , rapa for the immunity and cancer early-ish detection and mitigation is the way with keeping that GH side optimal

There is data that suggests that the IGF-1 inhibition (for healthy lifespan extension) may be something that provides the vast majority of its benefit if done early in life. Its not clear to me if it provides much value later in life. Perhaps (like most of these things) its better on a pulsed dosing schedule.

Longer fasts also increases testosterone while the Gh
Subsides after a few days. The key might be not to overdo longer fasts, finding sweet spot is challenging though.

Old post but did 75mg DHEA jack up heart rate and raise blood pressure? That seems like a lot
