I did titrate at the direction of my MD. I started at 25 mg per month, and T took a dive. I went up to 50 mg and T went down even further, almost to the bottom of the pool… It was all a big bust for me. I read somewhere that its effectiveness decreases for those of us over 65.

I will try that if clomiphene supplemented with DIM raises my estradiol levels too much. So far I have felt no mood effects from the clomiphene.

Well, I am anxiously waiting to see what my test result will be after one month of clomiphene. I will get tested next week.

@Bicep, I know there are two different forms of lactoferrin which are apo-lactoferrin and holo-lactoferrin. The holo form is iron saturated but the apo form is not. The product I’m currently using has both forms but it does make make me wonder if it might be better for those of us who don’t want/need the extra iron should use the apo form? I’m still looking into this but figured I’d mention it.

I’m taking apolactoferrin. It’s 1000 mg liposomal. I have a blood draw in a week or so and will see if I’m getting too much.

Many people on here say iron is bad and you live longer without it, but then you see where old people need iron more and the ones with Iron do better. I need to do a deep dive on Iron one of these days. I’m guessing its a U shaped curve, but probably also has a lot to do with the person.

or perhaps it’s a health span / life span trade off

(As it may be with other things like protein / testosterone / IGF-1 and even mTorc1 to some extent).

Ie you might do better in the now with more iron, but it leads to worse health in the future

Are any of you taking a boron supplement? I somehow missed a thread started by Alex Chen about how important boron is to testosterone production. I was aware that a trace amount of boron in the soil is essential for growing a decent crop of alfalfa. Peter Attia’s recent podcast about magnesium touched on this poorly understood topic of depleted soils. As a 60 year old man with all the symptoms of low testosterone, it is tempting to visit the nearest trt clinic, but I think I will try boron, magnesium, vitamin D, and garden vegetables first.

Have you looked into TM5614?

Per Copilot with Bing:

the safety and efficacy of TM5484 for sarcopenia in humans have not been established yet, and further studies are needed to confirm its clinical potential.

Updated spreadsheet:

There’s room on the sheet for additional participants. If you are 70 or older and concerned about sarcopenia, feel free to add your name.

It would be shame if a determined 84 year old can build more muscle mass than his youthful counterparts.

I can look in the mirror and see that my routine seems to be working. But even it if I fail to reach my specific goals, I will have benefited from my heightened diligence from “going on the record”.

Please let me know any corrections or additions.

@CTStan, please write my chest measurement as 38, height 69 and, if there are any runners in the bunch, 18 seconds in the hundred yard dash.

Thanks for taking on this role. Very helpful, sir.

It seems there are no benefits on cardiovascular risk by walking 10.000 steps daily that you can’t get walking 7.000.

This cohort study found that among Black and White men and women in middle adulthood, participants who took approximately 7000 steps/d or more experienced lower mortality rates compared with participants taking fewer than 7000 steps/d. There was no association of step intensity with mortality.

Got your results back yet?

I expect to get results back in the next 1 to 3 days. I only tested for total testosterone and free testosterone.

If I only was given a wish, that would be to make bodybuilding for woman illegal hahaa. I rarely find a sight or something more off-putting than that of a female bodybuilder. :joy::joy::joy:

I agree. The look is a kind of contrary to being feminine. But the article is about possibility of growing muscles on a vegan diet. I didn’t expect that it’s possible.
