No.

Other than seed oil panic:

So, what fats should we be consuming to optimize our health and testosterone?

We should emphasize saturated fats, preferably those higher in stearic acid found in grass-fed meat and dairy. Additionally, incorporating monounsaturated fats, such as those present in extra virgin olive oil or avocado, is beneficial.

Ah, things are back to normal, we disagree. Thursday’s Arrow by Eades he discusses fats extensively:

He read a book and basically wrote a book about it. Very long post, but as always easy to read and he agrees with Penchant. O6 fats decrease your cholesterol, increase chances of getting heart attack and make you fat. All in one post. Also you are supposed to look at omega balance instead of quantity. so O3/(O3+O6).

Yes that’s true.

I’m over it regardless as it takes at least an order of magnitude more energy and time to try and falsify a claim and show it, compared to what it took for the person who made the claim in the first place.

Chris Masterjohn just did a great piece on the seed oils vs sat fats:

He spends a load of time on it and it turns out to not be all that clear what’s good to me. Several studies that show seed oils to be better on heart disease, some the opposite. Most show greater ACM with seed oils, though not all. They seem to eventually cause cancer. Might make you a little fatter.

It might not matter much according to these studies and meta studies, but my guess is that the ones favoring seed oils were funded by the seed oil companies.

My n=1 is eat seed oils and get chronic acid reflux; don’t eat seed oils and have zero symptoms of acid reflux.

Maybe I am unique in this respect.

All the rest is irrelevant to me, I’m not going to consume them even if there was definitive proof that ACM is lower.

Conclusion is do what is right for you.
