A colleague of mine is consider using Rapamycin once a week as a longevity protocol. He has LBBB or Left Bundle Branch Block. Should he be concerned?

I have LBBB and have been taking Rapa for three years with no negative effects.

I wouldn’t think there would be any contraindication.

I have a similar condition which results in a reduced Ejection Fraction called Sick Sinus Syndrome. It’s also a timing/electrical problem. I have a simple pacemaker and am on Valsartan, Sacubitril, Carvedilol, Digoxin and I have taken 12mg of Rapa every week for about 3 years. My EF is below normal at 44. So if Rapa was heart harmful, I would probably be dead as these drugs are for end-stage heart failure patients. I am also 77 and take anastrozole and for 25 years, testosterone. T is heart and prostate-protective and makes every muscle including the heart muscle stronger. My heart muscle is strong but the timing issue makes it ineffective, just like LBBB does. I still work out, lift weights but I sometimes have dizzy spells. So I think Rapa is heart-neutral and your friend should consider it and also work on other lifestyle factors that are specific heart positive like supplementation. Q10, Taurine, D-Ribose and L-Carnitine Fumarate will help any heart beat stronger. Source: “Metabolic Cardiology” by Dr. Stephen Sinatra.
