Hello - anyone taking low dose lithium and rapa? I have started but have not noticed any discernable benefit. I’m not sure what I should look for in blood work?? Would love any and all info. if there is any out there.
Thanks,
maggie

I take a small amount of Lithium. I don’t think there is anything that you could particularly spot from lithium in the short term.

I recall noticing that lithium made me feel a little less ready to be angry (“took the edge off”). I do not know of any connection to rapa.

I have also found a softer edge with lithium. 10mg per day for the past 2 years. Rapa for almost 3 years now, so a good long overlap with those 2.
But with so many other confounding interventions, how would I know if I’m messing up LoL!
My only saving grace is that my “regular” blood work continues to improve.

This is exactly why I started taking low dose lithium. My mother had dementia and I am concerned about my brain health. Dr. Berner was very convincing and so I have added it to my protocol. I guess time will tell if this is the correct decision. Does anyone have any data to go off of on this one?
Thanks

As far as I know, the studies are observational regarding humans.

Just a reminder that SGLT2Is reduce serum lithium by 70% so if you’re taking one, you should increase your lithium dosage to compensate.
I take 10 mg of lithium orotate daily.
