Not following you exactly on this one. Tumor’s/cancers function is to kill us lol. LDL at normal levels will not kill us as far as I can understand, but I’m not necessarily very well versed on these things. I’m not actually arguing for sake of arguing but from what I’ve read and heard (from various doctors) they say that if you maintain a very healthy diet and exercise (lifestyle) and LDL/ApoB is at normal levels there is normally nothing to worry about. Now, there could be an argument to say that well I want to lower it as low as possible because that makes me comfortable, but then you may run the risk of the side effects from these meds and if you are in your 20’s I can’t possibly think that the risk v reward would make sense(again if all markers do fall within the normal level).

I’m not going to argue about this here, just pointing out your logic that just because something has a function doesn’t mean it’s good. There are a ton of other posts I’ve made on this. If you want you can search for them. And what I meant with a lack of function, is of course, not any good one.

thanks @Agetron. do you mind sharing the dosage of Proscar since I intend to self-medicate, and yes I’m already on 5mg daily Tadalafil (thanks to an earlier suggestion by you), but I usually do a two-day rest (weekends) for a flush out (don’t even know, if necessary, but I just don’t want to build up too much of a level since it has a 36hour 1/2 life)

@Agetron I am also curious about the finasteride dosage you take. I know for BPH, it is usually 5 mg. For hairloss it is usually 1mg. Thinking about taking low dose for possible prostate benefits. Hairloss is too late, I lost most of mine in my twenties.

Hair loss is never too late if you go to turkey and have a nice cheap implant done LOL. Know couple people that had great results already.

Yes… the dose is 5mg daily… which I have mostly done.

But after a week or so the build up is such that you could skip every other day or even take every 3rd day.

Yes… 5 mg for me 34 years… lowers cholesterol in blood… keeps hair and keeps prostate small… healthy…and possibly preventing prostate cancer.

If you don’t mind sharing what is your PSA? Mine is 0.6 ng/mL. Which puts me in low average for my age. No other signs of prostate issues, but polypharma bros gotta poly.

Mine is 0.8 but I think any number under 1 is normal?

  • For men in their 40s and 50s: A PSA score greater than 2.5 ng/ml is considered abnormal. The median PSA for this age range is 0.6 to 0.7 ng/ml.
  • For men in their 60s: A PSA score greater than 4.0 ng/ml is considered abnormal. The normal range is between 1.0 and 1.5 ng/ml.

Will have my current blood panel from this week’s draw… Monday.

@adssx
My current RHR and HRV taking 7.5mg of tirzepatide weekly. Lowest was 58ppm during the night. Looks awful but I also take 10mg vortioxetine wich lowers HRV
I’ve read GLP1 meds lowers HRV and increases HR because of their effect of the vague nerve, and that should not be detrimental or beneficial.
Just pissed to see everything red on whoop!

Thats interesting, because we see the same thing with rapamycin: Rapamycin and Impact on heart rate and HRV?

On finasteride… pasr 10 years PSA is under 1.
Typically. 7 or .6

Urologist is amazed. Says my prostate is the size of a 28 year old.

I credit my 0.6 PSA to frequent ejaculation. I try to nut everyday.

Huh?

Similar associations were observed for organ-confined prostate cancer. Ejaculation frequency was not statistically significantly associated with risk of advanced prostate cancer.

Conclusions Our results suggest that ejaculation frequency is not related to increased risk of prostate cancer.

Huh… really… just once???

However, high ejaculation frequency was related to decreased risk of total prostate cancer. The multivariate relative risks for men reporting 21 or more ejaculations per month compared with men reporting 4 to 7 ejaculations per month at ages 20 to 29 years were 0.89 (95% confidence interval [CI], 0.73-1.10); ages 40 to 49 years, 0.68 (95% CI, 0.53-0.86); previous year, 0.49 (95% CI, 0.27-0.88); and averaged across a lifetime, 0.67 (95% CI, 0.51-0.89).

When the entire range of ejaculation frequency was analyzed as a continuous variable in the multivariate model, each increment of 3 ejaculations per week across a lifetime was associated with a 15% (95% CI, 4%-24%) decrease in risk of total prostate cancer.

Read the whole thing. Not a simple association. It depends on whether we are looking at total prostate cancer, advanced prostate cancer, and organ confined cancer. Also depends on frequency with a non linear curve. Highest frequency (~21 per month) show an association with reduced total prostate cancer. Overall a confusing study, but I stick to frequent nutting for other reasons.

How can you only have 4-7 ejaculations a month as a 2X man??

For a small number of men, masturbation is not that appealing. If you do not have a regular sexual partner, the frequency of ejaculations is naturally limited by how often you self pleasure. I am lucky enough to have a partner who wants sex everyday.
