I was also just unblinded. I was in the 10mg dosing arm of the study. I’m now on the ‘extension’ program, paying for the (compounded) Rapamycin 10mg dose. One of the very clear effects of the study for me was a 33% reduction in visceral fat, as shown by the DXA scans done during the study. You can see on ClinicalTrials.gov that visceral fat was the primary outcome measure of the study.

Wow that is great, being on placebo my visceral fat did not change. May I ask your sex and weight. Just trying to determine my optimal dose!!

I did reach out and I am going with the “ free” compounded Sirolimous. It also includes blood work at Labcor, but very difficult to get an appointment with them. Will try to walk in tomorrow.

After reading the 33% reduction in Viseral fat with the compounded it sounds encouraging regarding the compounded. I’m gonna try the generic first and they said I could switch later if I want.

Just checked sirolimous is on their bloodwork panel, I don’t think they asked if I was already on it…

I thought that was strange to have on a prelim blood panel too. In my case, I continued on with the generic sirolimus after the trial for a few months. Got up to 8mg dose, which made me feel “off” “weird”, rather difficult to describe. Didn’t like it so I quit. Going to start up again with the compounded to see how it goes. I felt nothing on the trial and correctly concluded it was a placebo.
