As HBOT user (@1.4 ATA) this study doesn’t surprise as my athletic endurance and VO2 has risen in recent years which i believe is partially attributable to HBOT.
It’s notable that Aviv (biggest clinic?) is involved, but welcome data….

Just read that paper and it’s rather underwhelming.
The baseline VO2max of the HBOT group (average 70yo and overweight) is 18.73 which is around the bottom 5% of the population according to the chart below posted in another thread.
60 days of HBOT only improved their VO2max to 20.63 and it’s not even statistically significant (p=0.202). What is statistically significant is the difference with the placebo which went down from 20.64 to 19.84.

I have a little trouble with his accent. It sounds like he says part of the benefit is Hypoxia? Did I hear that correclty?
