I just started taking rapamycin ( starting low dose and titrate up to 6mg ) but I see some protocols suggest 8 weeks on and 5 weeks off.
After a 5 week break should I restart at a low dose or go straight away to 6mg?
any thoughts?
Im also on a low dose of tesosterone injection every 2 weeks as well as metformin.

I’d say go for the full dose even if you do time off after you have reached the desired dose from the start. I do take a rest sometimes, but not on a regular schedule, i.e. 4-5 weeks on and then couple weeks of. (just like to give my body a break and see what happens). however, I know there is actually people who do it on a regular schedule i.e. 8 weeks on, 4 weeks as an example. From I’ve seen so far there is no agreed way of doing it, regarding the dose nor the intervals. Still a fluid self-experiment for everyone. Try to take notes how you feel and experiment with dose and interval and perhaps find what works best for you.
In my case I tried all different doses from 1MG to 12 MG with EVO a GFJ and now I’ve settled at 2 with GFJ (just seems to be the right dose for me where i get no side effect and seem to feel same way/benefits as with higher doses). The thing though is any positive effect I tend to get is only one day (most) and second day (a little) after I take my dose. then I drift to same self after day two.

Welcome to this great resource. As you noted there are no fixed protocols for dosing or washouts. In addition to “how you feel,” I’d recommend blood tests after a month to see if there are side effects such as high lipids or blood glucose or low white blood cells, which cann all be affected by rapamycin. i also do a month’s washout after six months on.
