I have been using sermorelin for about 1 1/2 years. I just began my rapamycin induction 2 weeks ago with a 2mg, then 4mg dose. I feel that these two medications would be complementary, but I have not been able to find any information regarding the combination. Would appreciate any info. Thank you

What/why do you think ā€œsermorelinā€ is beneficial with or without rapamycin for longevity?

Why do you take sermorelin?

Iā€™m taking the sermorelin for overall wellness, fitness, sleep, energy, and exercise recovery. I do not believe it contributes to longevity, but definitely to fitness, wellness and to healthspan. I believe that these two medications would be complementary.

I began during recovery from a bad orthopedic injury 3 yrs ago requiring 18 surgeries and bone grafting. It was suggested to facilitate the bone graft, and I am now fused. I continue as I feel good, and have recovered, sleep well and am able to participate in high level athletics again at 58yo.

Iā€™ve been taking MK677 (Ibutamoren) with rapamycin periodically. The theory being that rapamycin will counteract the pro-aging effects of growth hormone. But thereā€™s little evidence of that, and you need to be careful with glucose control ā€“ the agents might synergise the wrong way. Overall I think that the ghrelin analogues are probably safer than the GHRP analogues ā€“ ghrelin itself has pro-longevity properties.

Interesting, I was not familiar with this compound. How is it going for you? What have been your perceived or measured results?

Hard to say. Unfortunately I canā€™t afford a CGM or super-regular blood tests, so Iā€™m perhaps irresponsibly under-instrumented. Subjectively Iā€™ve had a slow but marked improvement in my health, but thatā€™s coming after making several changes at once out of desperation. As for acute effects, all I can say for sure is occasional but unpredictable hunger and craving high calorie foods.

MK677 is modestly popular in the bodybuilding/PED circle. You can find a few reports of blood sugar problems on their forums, consistent with the clinical trials where it rose over months at higher doses. Iā€™ve run 15mg 3 times a week, 1 month out of 3, for a year, more or less. This is out of caution ā€“ I assume the optimum is either none (itā€™s a bad idea) or higher.

Of note, a recent report suggests that such compounds do extend the life of mice, so long as they arenā€™t allowed to increase food consumption.

I take 1ml of MK677 daily for GH support. I do strength training 3 times a week. It definitely helps with muscle building.

Hi Rap,
I just saw this old post as I was searching for information regarding taking semorelin with Rapamycin.
I have been on TRT for 5 years and Rapa for 9 months. Since beginning Rapa I have lost strength. I am weaker than before. Rapa definitely slows my strength gains down greatly.
I plan on only use the peptide for 3 months then take a few months off.
I saw a few posts indicating that the two may conflict and actually work against each other.

What dose and frequency, and what is your body weight?

This is atypical, as generally lean body mass improves with cyclic rapamycin. However, everyone is different.

I take 2mg rap with 10oun GFJ once a week for the past 2 months. Prior I was just taking 5mg a week. Ty I am 210

Unusual, so equivalent of ~6 mg/week at 210 lbs. Much lower than Iā€™d usually target for. I am 165-170 lbs and take 4 mg w/ GFJ, but my interval is 12-14 days. However, on average 3 mg w/ GFJ would be minimum for every 7 day dosing for most people in you weight, if you were my patient.

But remarkably, you had worse health outcome/muscle with such a low dose. Very odd. Is there something else that would explain this?

Not to my knowledge. I was strong like bull until starting Rapa now mere mortal.

Did you look at your IGF-1 off of Rapa? I wonder if you were stimulated through the roof = early death and rapa is bringing that down to earth to the mortal, rather than the prematurely dead which happens with too much stimulation.

Iā€™m a mere mortal, and yes, could drive up muscle mass hugely in a number of ways, but there needs to be a careful middle ground if the focus is longevity.

Totally understand but my IGF 1 stays between 100 and 120. Will report back after a month of using Rapa with Semorelin. Ty

I use a combo dose of Ipamorelin+CJC1295-noDAC and separately 75mg DHEA 5 nights a week just before bed time. I take 6mg Rapa with GFJ every 2 weeks. Been doing the Rap for over 2 years now and these specific peptides for about 14 months.

Have not noticed any influence on my strength that Iā€™d attribute to this protocol. I had not been working out for a couple years and started back at it 3 months ago. All good here, weights increasing, endurance increasing, Last week I was ā€œshowing offā€ for one of my sons and easily cranked out 25 push-ups. Probably could have done 30 but it was getting hard so I thought Iā€™d quit while I was ahead LoL! 4 years ago I was doing 100 push ups a day in sets of 20 at random times during the day. I was 55lbs over weight at that time though.
