I am having outpatient surgery to remove a lipoma on my elbow. Should I stop taking rapamycin (6 mg/weekly) before, during, after procedure?

Oral Surgery/Bone Graft & Rapamycin
Is a colonoscopy considered surgery? Stop dosing?

I believe you should take a break. Rapa slows down the healing process

I had surgery in May, to remove some skin lesions and forgot about my rapamycin and took it day before surgery and continued afterwards as scheduled and everything healed perfectly. I believe rapamycin even helped with less scar tissue. I did some research and there might be some substance in the science of scar tissue formation and mTOR inhibition. I had one lesion removed on my forehead and surgeon few weeks later almost could not find where the incision and stitches were placed. So it is a double sword I guess.
