His argument is for lifestyle changes. I don’t think you can say lifestyle changes are “snake oil”. In any event some snake oil was Omega 3 oil, but not all of it. It depended on the snake.

If he ever tells you how much superior it is, let me know, maybe he’s not a biased quack then after all (ignoring the other issue of generalizing study result to the real world where duration of use isn’t exactly 2.3 years for X NNT).

I extrapolated from the graph from year 4 to year 10, estimated from this man’s brain and excellent training in cardiology, philosophy and logic. Even year 20 and 30 it will be flat.

Rubbish. The man is doing what he’s doing because he genuinely believes it, he is not doing it for the money. Fine to disagree with him but there’s no need to attack his motives.

I’ll just put this here (I’ve not watched the video yet, but will):
Kendrick was accused of killing thousands of people by saying statins aren’t perfect and necessary for everybody (in that neighborhood). So he sued I believe The Daily Mail. He’s been in court so much for so long he looks like hell. I saw him speak and he looked so bad I thought maybe he should have a statin. And it is for so little. Ugh.
But the article is up today and he won! I hope he puts them out of business, but don’t worry he won’t.

I’d rather ignore the significant amount of data that shows statins reduce risk of death by CVD… fortunately we all have the freedom to choose 
This study estimated the accumulation of benefit with statins according to age at therapy initiation using a microsimulation model that was developed using data on 118,000 participants of large international statin trials from the Cholesterol Treatment Trialists’ (CTT) Collaboration and 500,000 individuals in the UK Biobank population cohort.
