Awesome. Bummer about the statins. Hopefully you can qualify (health insurance) for pcsk9 or something else since you can’t tolerate statins. To fight my cholesterol, my diet is high fiber and very low fat except for eggs, nuts, and salmon. If I couldn’t get my apoB down I’d drop the eggs in a heart beat. If that didn’t work I’d keep working it. There got to be a formula that works for you. Good luck!

Must be sugars in your diet that are stubbornly keeping your LDL high. Go KETO, or protein only for a while and see what happens your LDL level.

Are you just here to troll?

Yeah, pretty sure keto will raise LDL, probably all lipids.

What is you apoB level?

Nah, that is not true. That’s what they have been telling you, but it doesn’t mean is true.

Eat nothing but meat and fats for couple weeks and go do your blood work, then come and tell me your lipids went up. As species we were initially for millions of years carnivore, and it is only in last millennia or so that we have been introduced to plant foods for most part. Thus, our bodies will function best when we eat nothing but meat and fat. Every single blood indicator with hit the normal range, guaranteed, try it, you got nothing to lose.

BTW, I saw that 82 year old chick (doesn’t look one day older than 50, 65 years on meat and fats) someone posted on these forums a while back, and I am dead on carnivore from now till I reach my 120. Already started three days ago, just beef/steak and fats. Already getting some benefits in form of ZERO inflammation.

It’s not true?

For millions of years?

We only have eaten plant foods the last 1000 years?

She is 82 years old?

You are measuring it?

No not all. Here to contribute and learn myself. But if you don’t like my posting, you can always swipe lol.
You shouldn’t totally discount me, if i were you. 4-5 of my parents/grandparents died with heart issues from 50-65. I’m 57 I am 100% healthy, I have NEVER been to a doctor. I look at least 10 years younger, have ZERO pain and I am always happy, unless someone crosses me at which point, I would love to break them in half LOL.

As an example, I am surprised that no one in these board has taken my advice on Vit c and Lysine, but hey not my problem, I’m getting huge benefits from them, and all i can do is suggest it to you guys, in hopes of making you healthy, but hey can’t force you to get healthy.

yes, my fat fingers are 1/2 as fat as three days ago. No machine, nor lab could beat it.

YES on all your questions.

@scta123 I haven’t measured it in a few months. My apoB was 64 in April. My LDL was 48 at the same time. My LDL was 44 last month. I’ll get another apoB in October.

I did this - went Keto, and my lipids / APOB went through the roof.

I would like my lipids and APOB to drop through the floor.

I’m doing it now and my LDL was 189 last week. HDL was 78. Triglycerides were 82. So pretty bad, but I think when your energy comes from fat, you have to haul it around and a lot of this is not evil oxydized LDL, but just LDL doing it’s job and not causing trouble.

I guess it different for everyone. I’ve seen cases where people going on KETO had the opposite, lowered lipids. If I had an issue with lipids and or APOB I would experiment, but I would do it cautiously. For whatever reason, I always like to experiment and If i find something that works (even if unconventional) I keep doing.

Do you take any lipid lowering drugs/supplements or just lifestyle (good diet, sports…)?
You take berberine if I remember correctly. Did it have any affect on your lipids?

I wouldn’t get to excited about just eating domestic animals. Look up something called Neu5gc:

Meat can cause inflammation, in fact I don’t see how you can avoid it. I eat deer and elk.

Domestic and organically grown and fed is as good or better than wild. For some reason wild game has a distinct smell/taste that never attracted me much. Wild fish though I like. I’ll stick with my organic steak, while you eat your deer and elk. A bud of mine is a hunter and offered me a full leg of a deer, but I promptly declined as would have gone in the garbage bin, unfortunately. Had it not been for the taste/smell of it I agree it is very healthy meat.

heck of a role model right here

Finally getting some recognition. thanks,

Thought so that the last part will not sit that well with your Scandinavian/northern attitude’s which usually is something like this- If someone hits you, you apologize to them.
LOL dude but not everyone needs to be same as you, nor me.
