As a follow up to the healthspan offer to try out their longevity pro panel service, here is my discussion with healthspan about my personal 100+ marker blood test. The episode is about ½ discussion about the utility of blood markers and ½ a discussion of my “problem” biomarkers.

I just posted yesterday that it appears they offered customized advice. It all seems appealing and this is perfect timing. I look forward to learning more about them.

I enjoyed pt 1 and was impressed with the detailed analysis they offer.
I’m already taking their UA, so I’ll look forward to learning more about it.

@Beth I agree. I also found Rick and Brandon to be intelligent, informed, and honest. The last part being the most important.
Another attractive factor is the quality control offered. I’m currently using AETERNUM Urolithin A, which I believe is a good brand but I don’t really know. And MB OTC is the Wild West (and capsule vs liquid is interesting).

It was indeed a good episode! I came away with a better understanding of UA and MB. I never knew it could be potentially harmful to take MB daily.
And, I also agree with everything you said about them. I have been so impressed with their company that I’d actually like to find a way to give them more business and am willing to pay a premium to do so, but so far they have priced themselves in a way that makes it too hard for me to justify.
I’ve almost pulled the trigger on their MB, but even if I squint really hard, I just can’t justify $100 per month. I’m taking a capsule sold by a company that only sells on amazon, nutricel blueboost, $29 for a two month supply. I’d even pay somewhat more than double to get it from get healthspan, but that isn’t even an option with them.
Their UA is pricey, but it’s better than Mitopure, so I was able to justify it that way.
Even their new pet rapa product is way overboard on price… $90 a month to give a pet basically $2.50 worth of rapa (when I share my own stash).
How are you finding the taste of the UA powder? I imagine I am too wimpy for that.
I wonder if the people one would normally be interacting with will be as great as those two (assuming they are not normally involved?). Do you know anything about this?

@Beth I also struggle to balance the cost vs quality with imperfect information conundrum. I only know two things for sure: I don’t want to hurt my self and I don’t want to be a sucker (pay too much). But I do pay for insurance for my personal assets, and my health is an asset, so I lean towards paying too much if I can be confident that I am getting higher safety. I also limit my purchases (max of 10 pharm + supplements) to be able to afford to pay more for quality on the few things I buy. I’m satisfied for now with my imperfect solution to this imperfect situation.
