My skin is generally better, so I would look elsewhere if you think things are going in the wrong direction. A positive trend seems to be the norm, see this video:

When I was low dosing 4 mg weekly for about 4 months… my knuckles noticeably started to dry and flake… just like before I started rapamycin years earlier.
Back on a dose of 6 mg weekly… within a month dry knuckles gone. That was 8 months ago. Still great.

This is amazing news !! I hope my skin also rebounds now that I have started up again ! Why did you lower your dose?

I initiallty went higher based on recommendation of rapamycin noted researcher Dr. Blagosklonny saying higher is better. So I tried about 14 mg plus every 7-10 days. It wasn’t for me, at that higher dose it increased my inflammation and DNA aging. When I reduced back to 6 mg weekly, the biolgical reversal benefits return lower inflammation better DNA methylation.
I was thinking how low a dose should I go?
So, I tried 4 mg weekly for about 4 months and arthritis returned in fingers… skin was obviously more wrinkled - drier and muscle strength was lower. Now I am at 6 mg - 8 mg. I believe men need more then women do we have more cells higher energy consumption. … just different biologies.
Upped to 8 mg due to chronolgical age increases - might need a wee bit more. It is all about he dose - too much is poison. too little no effect. Looking for the middle - sweet spot.

What dose made you tired? how much do you weigh if you don’t mind sharing?
That is interesting. Somewhat like dancing on the edge of a razor blade. Also, I wonder how much variability in individuals influence dose effectiveness. No way to determine for sure at present other than clinical signs.

Try megadose glycine. N = 1 below. Siim Land has been taking 10 to 15 grams per day. Check out the lines on his forehead at :32, comparing 2019 to 2024.
Siim Land is number 4 in the rejuvenation olympics leaderboard.

Hate to be a buzzkill, but it’s my superpower
As a woman, I will share that the split screen of his prior video showing his forehead wrinkles and his new video showing no forehead wrinkles is a clear sign he’s using Botox. You’ll see he no longer lifts his brows.
Having said that, maybe high dose glycine is good and does help skin, and I’m looking forward to learning more.

Exactly Phillipe… I am more and more aware of the subtle signals that my body is providing me… in pain signals… swelling (fluid retention)… flexibility, skin tone and dryness and mental acuity, to let me know I am on the right or wrong path.
These aging processes I have gone through… then reversed to a degree on rapamycin… as these aging responses start to return… I am more aware and responsive to address them.

too much Rapa. fatigues me too
I only take the powder, mixed in coffee and tea. My intake was modest - 3g per mug, so about 9 g per day. I have increased it to 15 since yesterday.
I am not confident with my manual dexterity to try to self dose any IV supplement.
With regard to blood sugar benefits mentioned by Siim Land at :51, below is a study that corroborates that claim
When patients with type 2 diabetes were administered 5-g glycine 4 times daily for 6 months in an uncontrolled clinical trial, glycated hemoglobin fell from 9.6% to 6.9% (P <0.05); a favorable impact of glycine on oral glucose tolerance and on protein glycation might have collaborated in producing this benefit.46 A reduction of glycated hemoglobin in glycine-treated diabetic rats has also been reported.47 In rats with streptozotocin-induced diabetes, a favorable effect on certain diabetes complications (ie, glomerulosclerosis, cataracts, and microaneurysms of the retinal arteries) has been found.48-50
However you are also had amazing journey with weight lifting which in itself can increase skin thickness, along with many other interventions… it’s hard to tell with you what is working.
